It never fails how one or two life events can shape the motivation for everything you do.
“Iron Eagle” was Tim’s first foray into entrepreneurialism. As a kid, Tim drew comic books featuring Iron Eagle (a cross between Iron Man and Archangel from X-Men) and sold them on the school bus for 25 cents. Far from a childish diversion, this passion for creative hustle only grew. Before he’d finished school, Tim had founded a soccer club and a record label and discovered a passion for web design.
But then what? Entry-level employment doesn’t always reward creative thinking. While Tim found a steady gig making websites, he braced against the lack of control he had over his own work. So he started freelancing, and that’s how he met Mike.
As a designer and an artist, Mike shared Tim’s individualism and his restlessness. It wasn’t long before the two realized they worked together better than they worked apart. They got a DBA and Luminus was formed.
As Luminus grew, so did Tim’s ambition to make the local scene friendlier for like-minded creatives. He joined AAF Buffalo’s Board of Directors and took over business operations for Luminus, expanding the agency from a two-man operation to a thriving creative agency where like-minded designers, developers, writers and strategists would be empowered to do the best work possible.
As Chief Executive Officer, Tim works with Mike to shape the agency's long-term vision, driven by the values of boldness, dedication, creativity and audacity.
